Upgrade your BlackJack II Windows Operating System
The BlackJack II is a good consumer grade Windows Smartphone. Samsung and AT&T Wireless have come up with an upgrade to the software available free from the Samsung website and aims to increase functionality in addition to preventing frequent screen freezes and other software issues.
The upgrade is provided free of charge from the following website:
And only is used for the Samsung SGH-i617 BlackJack II handset. There is not a Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade planned for the original BlackJack.
On the more notable features, Voice Command will be integrated on the phone, and there are some look and feel improvements to make better use of the screen.
The software takes about 10 - 15 minutes to set up, and will require the use of the modem drivers and software found in your BlackJack II (SGH-i617) box. For those of you who haven't the software, links are provided for your convenience on the website above.
All in all, it makes for a much nicer phone experience.
