iPhone 3Gs - Worth waiting for?
Apple made an announcement on June 8th, 2009 introducing the new iPhone 3GS as well as the iPhone 3.0 software announced in April.
Some of the highlights of this announcement:
- The iPhone 3G and 3GS will both support MMS, but AT&T will not offer that ability until later this summer.
- The iPhone 3G and 3GS will support tethering (Phone as Modem) but again, AT&T will not offer that ability.
- The iPhone 3G's price will drop immediately to $99 for the 8 GB version, and $199 for the 16GB version.
- The iPhone 3GS's price will be $199 for the 16GB version, and $299 for the 32GB version.
- The iPhone 3GS will be carried at Apple stores, Best Buy, WalMart, and AT&T stores on June 19th.
