Best Buy Movie Mode - Wasted App or Movie Magic?
With the movie Despicable Me, released July 9th, 2010, Best Buy introduces their 'Movie Mode' Application for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, and Windows Mobile.
The application at the moment isn't functional, and doesn't do anything right now except give you the location of the nearest Best Buy store. Presumably, when you power on the application, it will turn your ringer off and vibrate to alert you to extra content during the credits when you attend the movie supported by Movie Mode.
I suppose the allure of extra content is enough to download the application, and it might make me curious to stay through the end of the credits, but if you're not into movies enough to care about the credits, you might want to pass on this smartphone application.
