Can AT&T retrieve deleted text messages?

To which we responded:
Your provider only keeps records of dates and times calls and texts were made, not the content itself. Once deleted, all content is purged from the system, similar to a deleted voicemail.
The only reason dates and times are kept is for billing purposes, and those dates and times can be viewed online if you've set up an account; keep in mind that date and time stamps are rarely shown for text messages.
