Save hundreds of dollars on your cell phone bill
Every provider offers the employees of select companies a discount, in some cases up to 30% of your cell phone bill, saving you hundreds of dollars over the life of your contract. Some cell phone companies will even waive activation and upgrade fees simply based on for whom you work.
Most carrier stores neglect, by accident or design, to mention these discounts, and in some cases, it is even independent of your employer. For example, AT&T offers a discount to any member of a labor union, and Sprint offers a discount to credit union members.
Be careful, because some carriers will charge you a fee to switch you to to your employee discount, or change your billing date in order to give you a discount on your monthly bill.
By carrier, here is the website you can use to get your monthly discount. Do everyone a favor; if you find your cell phone discount, post it under comments so that others can take advantage of it as well.
You'll need a corporate email account (yourname@yourworkemail.com) at your place of employment to get the discount, and if you don't have an email account for where you work, just call the number above.

You must have an online account set up for T-Mobile in order to sign up for a discount.
Similar to AT&T and Sprint, it's faster with an online Verizon account and a corporate email address, but lacking the email address, they have a form you can fill out.
If you're not sure if you get a discount, ask other employees if they're getting a cell phone discount. Even if they don't have the same cell phone provider, what one carrier does, they all do. If you belong to a business associate or other civic group, you might be eligible. Always worthwhile to check, and as contracts change, so do discounts. Consider checking back every few months if you're denied, and once you have a discount, keep it - no need to update your information if you have a job change. Unless, of course, you get a bigger cell phone discount.
